Quebec Remparts at Chicoutimi Sagueneens Oct 2, 2012

Oct 2, 2012, Québec Remparts @ Chicoutimi Saguenéens ( QMJHL)

QUE #19 Kurt Etchegary C 2013 draft eligible: Really effective game again; he was a force on the faceoffs, executed the little details pretty well; aggressive in his battles he is not afraid of anybody; blocked 2 shots on desperate plays; comes back deep behind his net to help his D-man and rarely causes turnovers; scored a nice goal with a wrist shot top net from the slot; pretty smart in his positioning, always heads up to see how the play is developing, 2-way grinding center.

QUE #27 Brandon Shea C 2013 draft eligible: See-saw game again; better than what he was at the beginning of the season; made a great play on the board forcing the turnover in the 3rd period and passing the puck to Etchegary in the slot to score the winning goal; glided a lot in the neutral zone giving the opportunity to Chicoutimi forwards to go around him easily; used his strength effectively around the net to protect the puck; makes a lot of uncaring plays; has all the offensive tools to be a pro player, shooting, skating abilities, size and intelligence, the work ethic is missing.

QUE #73 Adam Erne RW 2013 draft eligible: Average game for Adam Erne by his standards; seemed tougher for him to be explosive, maybe the 3 games in 4 days; can become predictable with the puck; very heavy hitter; uses his body well to retrieve the puck; excellent in his decisions in his own zone, simple and effective. Has a notch over most players of his age in terms of aggressiveness and physical tools.

QUE #94 Nick Sorensen RW 2013 draft eligible: Pretty physical game again for him; has taken that physical edge since last year; he is very solid on his skates and wins his battles; didn’t get any chances besides a rebound in front of the net; seemed to be missing energy; only 9 games last year so that could be why; executed simple plays but seemed exhausted after many shifts.

CHI #27 Laurent Dauphin C 2013 draft eligible: Tough night on the faceoffs; complete player; competes at a really high level in everything he does on the ice; makes quick decisions with the puck; protects the puck well and masters many technical points at 17 years old. Skates well, angles well on the PK, anticipates the play well, knows how to create space and to be effective in different kinds of games.  Knows when to simplify his game,
