2013 OHL Draft: A Look Back

As the 2014 OHL Draft inches closer, we take a look back at the 2013 OHL Draft. The Priority Selection as it’s referred to officially, took place on April 6th. The Ottawa 67’s held the first overall pick and they selected Travis Konecny from the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. Konecny has had a great rookie season and has not disappointed Ottawa 67’s fans. The Erie Otters held the 2nd overall pick and chose Dylan Strome from the Toronto Marlboros. The 6’2″ centre has been a nice addition to the Otters and has played a role in their success this season.
The steal of the draft goes to London. The Knights selected Mitch Marner with the 19th pick in the draft. Marner sits 2nd overall with 38 points in 41 games.
