HockeyProspect.com is pleased to release our first 2024 NHL Draft Ranking of the season. This list is a top 64 ranking with the top 32 available free and the full top 64 available here for members.
Macklin Celebrini is our top ranked prospect for the 2024 NHL Draft and he is off to a fantastic start to his NCAA career with 9 goals and 13 assists in just 13 games. Macklin had 46 goals in 50 games last season with the Chicago in the USHL.
The second overall spot on our list goes to Cayden Lindstom from Medicine Hat in the WHL. Cayden has 18 goals in 24 games and has added 14 helpers. The 6’5″ forward narrowly beat out the huge 6’7″ defenceman from Russia, Anton Silayev, who sits third overall on our list.
The 2024 NHL Draft includes some fantastic talent but there are some leagues that are looking weaker than usual as far as prospects are concerned. We rate the OHL and QMJHL weaker than we are used to as far as draft worthy prospects are concerned. We also think the USNTDP is also weaker than we are accustom to seeing.
