HockeyProspect.com is excited to announce our second 2025 NHL Draft Ranking of the season. This list includes a top 64 ranking, with the top 32 available for free here and the full top 64 + goalie list accessible for our members.
Matthew Schaefer of the Erie Otters is still our top-ranked prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft, and barring something unforeseen, we expect him to remain our top prospect on our final ranking in June.
Michael Misa is still our second-ranked prospect and he continues to have an outstanding season with Saginaw. He currently has 54 goals in 54 games and has added 59 assists. Following Misa in our ranking is James Hagens from Boston College, who, in his freshman NCAA season, has tallied 9 goals and 23 assists.
Anton Frondell is our fourth-ranked prospect. He has faced adversity due to injuries. Anton has picked up his play since our previous ranking and that allowed him to hold his spot in a tight battle with Porter Martone.
The 2025 NHL Draft is a weaker class than in recent years.
