He took a couple shifts as a forward and was really dynamic driving the puck down low with speed and moving it to an open man in the slot to score the team’s 2nd goal of the game. He protects the puck well from the opposition’s pressure and is able to move the puck out of the zone effectively along the boards. He did get caught on one pinch down low and showed some really good speed and hustle to get back to his own end.

TTN # 42, LW, Monteiro, Domenic- Monteiro is a really big winger who is calm and patient with the puck and can move it out of the zone effectively. He had some nice big hits along the wall and made a really good pass attempt to move the puck across the crease to a teammate on a 2-on-1 but just missed the connection on the pass. He needs to get a bit quicker and move the puck around more in the offensive zone to find some open space and provide more options and support in the offensive zone as well.

TTN # 15, C, Minichiello, Marcus- Minichiello displayed some nice hands to find lanes and rush the puck up through the neutral zone. He can take passes well off the rush and showed some good puck protection to gain the zone and try to drive the puck to the net. He battles hard for the puck along the wall and can get it up and out of the zone. He also displayed some good physicality but needs to get a bit quicker all-round.

BFD # 7, C, Elms, Justin- Elms displayed a great willingness to drive to the net with his stick down to take a pass and get a great opportunity from in tight. He showed some nice hands to work the puck under pressure just lost a handle on it on too many moves to turn it over. He was getting in lanes showing a willingness to block shots and put some nice pressure on the puck carrier to rush him and force him to make a play. He was getting to the slot and following up the puck for some good rebound chances.

BFD # 91, C, Rimac, Matthew- Rimac displayed a nice wide drive with some great puck protection for some excellent scoring chances from in tight off the rush. He pressures the puck carrier really well and has some great hands and puck distribution in the offensive zone. He was driving wide often and cutting to the middle and battling for loose pucks in front of the net for some good chances in tight. He also showed some great strength to step up on his man with a nice open ice hit, he just needs to watch the turnovers up the boards in his own end.

BFD # 9, RW, Woods, Matthew- Woods is a really fast agile player who protects the puck really well and is strong and tough to knock off the puck. He showed some really nice speed, hustle and pressure on the fore-check to force turnovers. He was able to walk into the slot and then move the puck to an open teammate down low for a great chance, and then followed up the rebound to put a great shot on net. He made a great pass to find a teammate out in the slot for a nice chance and uses his stick well to knock the puck off the opposition and take the turnover. He was physical on the fore-check and just needs to watch some of the turnovers through the neutral zone.

BFD # 8, D, Pottruff, Joel- Pottruff is a good skater who can tie up his man in his own end and uses his stick well to check the puck away from the opposition. He did a great job taking away his man’s space to force a turnover and rush the puck back up the ice with some good speed.
