Nepean Raiders AAA vs Kanata Lasers AAA, September 18th, 2017

NEP #2 LD Baptiste, Isaiah (2018) – Did a good job boxing out opposing forwards and eliminating any gap between him and the attackers. Struggled a bit to break the puck out on the powerplay which led to his teammate taking a penalty because of his turnover. Has a tendency to always have his stick waist high but if he had it on the ice he could react to pucks quicker. He plays a physical game and at times made some big hits. His skating is average but has no issues getting up and down the ice.
NEP #14 LD Silenu, Antonio (U18 2018) – Antonio was the best player on the ice and appears to have a lot more confidence than last year. He was very physical tonight especially in the corners where he would cross-check relentlessly. His decision making with the puck has improved since last season and there’s more maturity and poise in his game. Made a couple of great plays in the neutral zone where he would intercept a pass, beat one or two skaters, and then dump the puck back in.
NEP #88 C/RW Edwards, Sam (U18 2018) – Edwards really impressed me throughout the game as he is a physical power forward but he also possesses high-end skill. Made a beautiful toe drag around a sprawled defender on the powerplay but fired wide. He was at his best when the puck was down low behind the goal line because he can work the puck really well along the boards. He also used his size to create separation between him and the defenders.
