Update March 18thThe OHL, QMJHL and WHL have announced that they are cancelling the remaining games if their respective regular seasons.

The QMJHL announced that their draft will now be conducted online, the live draft that was to be held in Sherbrooke, Quebec has been cancelled. We are currently working on our 2020 QMJHL Draft Guide.

The OHL announced that the OHL Draft will still be held on April 4th. Our 2020 OHL Draft Guide will be available in our online store next week.

Although hockey is currently suspended, we are still preparing for all three drafts we cover. Our OHL Draft scouts had a previously scheduled rankings meeting last night. It ran about 2.5 hours in length and another one is scheduled for this Sunday. The OHL Draft was scheduled for April 4th. As of this writing we are still operating on our same schedule as far as prepping for the release of our 2020 OHL Draft Guide.

The same can be said for the QMJHL Draft and NHL Draft. Obviously there are no live games to attend at this time but we will use this time to watch games on video. It’s not ideal, but NHL teams are in the same boat as us. We will make the best of this situation. The good news is that we are late in the season and our scouts have already scouted hundreds of games live.

We already had more player interviews lined up and we will still make attempts to interview as many players as we can. We will also continue to post podcasts, both FREE and Platinum.

We will update on Twitter and this website if changes to any draft dates take place that would affect release dates of our publications. In other words, if we are given a slightly bigger window of time to work on a publication due to a change of a draft date, we might take advantage of that time.

To sum up, nothing as changed day to day for us with the exception being that we are forced to scout solely via video while live viewings are not an option.
