OHL
– Kerby Rychel (Windsor) scored 3 goals & 2 assists in 3 games, including his 4th game-winning goal of the season on Friday night vs. Guelph. He has 12 power play goals this season, tied for 4th in the OHL.
– Saginaw forward Jimmy Lodge continues to get better offensively. He scored 2 goals & 3 assists in 2 games. Lodge has 8 goals & 16 assists in 14 games since the Christmas break.
– Kitchener Rangers forward Justin Bailey recorded 2 goals & 2 assists in 2 games. He has 13 points in his last 12 games. His teammate, Brent Pedersen, scored 2 goals and 1 assist.
– Peterborough teammates Greg Betzold & Nick Ritchie each recorded 4 points in 3 games.
– Jordan Subban (Belleville) & Brody Silk (Sudbury) each scored 1 goal & 2 assists in 3 games. Subban compiled a plus/minus rating of +8 over the weekend.
– Owen Sound forward Zach Nastasiuk assisted on 4 goals in 3 games, while Ottawa 67’s defenceman Mike Vlajkov netted 2 goals in a win vs. Sarnia on Friday night.
– Barrie Colts goaltender Alex Fontinos made 38 saves in regulation and stopped all three players in the shootout in a 3-2 win vs. Kingston.
QMJHL
– Halifax forward Jonathan Drouin recorded 3 goals & 3 assists in 2 games and was named one of the QMJHL’s ‘Stars of the Week’. Drouin has 8 goals & 12 assists in 9 games since returning from the World Junior Hockey Championship. His teammate, Nathan MacKinnon, scored 1 goal & 4 assists in 2 games.
– Saint John left winger Stephen Anderson scored 2 goals & 1 assist in 3 games. Seven of his 15 points this season have come after the Christmas break (13 games).
– Anthony Mantha (Val-d’Or) also recorded 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 games. He is 1st in league goals (40) and 6th in points (72).
– Blaineville-Boisbriand forward Marcus Hinds scored 1 goal & 2 assists in 3 games and extended his point streak to a season-high four games.
– Goaltender Zach Fucale (Halifax) won both his games this week, including a shutout vs. Chicoutimi. He leads all CHL goaltenders in wins with 33.
WHL
– Portland Winterhawks forward Nicolas Petan recorded 3 goals & 5 assists in 4 games during the past week. He leads all CHL players in scoring with 93 points.
Defenceman Seth Jones assisted on 7 goals while earning a plus/minus rating of +7.
– Brandon defenceman Ryan Pulock picked up 6 assists in 3 games, while Edmonton forward Curtis Lazar scored 4 goals in 3 games. Lazar has 11 goals in his last 11 games.
– Seattle defenceman Shea Theodore scored 3 goals in 3 games. He sits 6th in goals among WHL defencemen (12).
– Medicine Hat forward Hunter Shinkaruk played in 2 games and recorded 3 points (2 goals & 1 assist).
– Portland goaltender Brendan Burke picked up two wins during the past week, including a 6-0 shutout vs. Everett. He improved his record to 17-4-1-0 this season.
USHL
– Waterloo forward Taylor Cammarata scored 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 games, including his 4th game-winning goal of the season (T-2nd). He continues to lead the USHL in scoring with 62 points.
– Tri-City forward Trevor Moore recorded 1 goal & 3 assists in 2 games and now sits 10th in league scoring with 44 points.
– Waterloo goaltender Eamon McAdam made 41 saves in a 7-3 win over Green Bay on Saturday night
