The London Knights have traded forward Corey Pawley to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a 4th round pick at the 2015 OHL Priority Selection Draft.

Pawley was originally selected in the 4th round, 71st Overall at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection Draft out of the Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Minor Midget team.

Corey split time with the Lambton Shores Predators Jr. B and the London Knights during the 2011-2012 season.

Last season Pawley played 27 games for the Knights posting 7 points.

This trade should prove to be beneficial for all involved.

Pawley is an undersized forward who possesses great skating ability and puck skills. He is very creative offensively and will get an opportunity in Kingston to show off his offensive skillset. Because of his depth role with the Knights he’s been required to bring a tenacious, hard working energy game, one which he’s played very effectively. If he can bring the offense he showed in Minor Midget and Jr. B along with the work ethic and tenacious forecheck he brought to the Knights fourth line he should be very successful in Kingston.

The Knights on the other hand add a 4th round pick and open up a roster spot in what should be a very competitive Training Camp in London.

Pawley is expected to be in Kingston when camp opens next week.
