NHL, OHL and QMJHL Prospect News

Moncton’s Jakob Pelletier will miss Canada’s World Junior Evaluation camp this week because of an injury suffered in Victoriaville last week. Connor Zary of Kamloops will take his place. The 18 years old forward was ranked 15th in our November rankings, and he’s 5th in scoring in the WHL.

Halifax’s Justin Barron will be out indefinitely with a blood clot.

Lukas Cormier was back in the Charlottetown Islanders’ lineup this past Friday after missing 6 weeks due to blocking a shot with his foot. However, Cormier got hurt again on Saturday in Chicoutimi, missing Sunday’s game in Victoriaville as a result. Cormier had 15 points in 13 games before his injury.

The World Junior A Challenge got underway this past weekend. To follow the event, visit the Hockey Canada website.
