HockeyProspect.com is pleased to release our 2023 NHL Draft Black Book. As we mentioned last summer, we’ve eliminated our NHL Draft Guide this year. The NHL Draft Guide served as a companion to our NHL Draft Black Book, but has became unnecessary with our new cheaper pricing model. The result is a more streamlined NHL Draft Black Book with an NHL Draft Guide price.
We changed our game reports system on our website to a player based system. This change meant we will no longer be including game reports in our Black Book. This is something we really needed to evolve to. The time crunch in the spring was extremely difficult. The print version won’t be quite as heavy going forward.
This year’s book is 344 pages and over 215,000 words. Our 2023 NHL Draft Black Book includes detailed profiles on hundreds of prospects eligible for the 2023 NHL Draft as well as 32 prospects for the 2024 NHL Draft and 32 more for 2025 NHL Draft.
We also include our 2023 NHL Draft list of 112 players ranked. As in previous years,we also include a top 32 prospect ranking for next year’s draft.
