[sociallocker] penalty kill He opened up well to offer options on odd-man rushes and was protecting the puck well along the boards and cycling the puck well and then moving the puck out front to the slot. He had a nice net-front presence looking for loose pucks and some really great size, skating, moves and agility. He provided some good support in his own end but needs to watch some of the neutral zone turnovers and turnovers in the offensive zone trying to force the pass through the opposition.

DMF # 8, RW, Robinson, Justin- Robinson displayed some great hands and puck skills. He was getting to the slot for shots and showed a really nice wide drive into the offensive zone. He was physical on the fore-check and getting to loose pucks and battling hard along the boards. He needs to get a bit quicker and drive the puck down low rather than cutting up high and also had a break but was caught and held up and lost his opportunity.

DMF # 88, RW, Annetta, Giusten- Annetta showed some great hustle and pressure on the puck carrier in this game displaying a good work ethic. He was back-checking hard and driving to the net in the offensive zone. He has some decent size which helps in his battles along the boards and is a real high-energy heart and soul type player. He pressured the puck carrier well to force turnovers and showed some nice hands and agility on a drive to the net with the puck.

DMF # 87, C, Marner, Mitchell- Marner is a highly skilled forward with some really nice hands, puck skills, moves and agility. He can beat defenders clean and drive to the net with the puck. He also protects the puck exceptionally well in the offensive zone and distributes it nicely. He has those great hands and agility and can find lanes to skate the puck up through the neutral zone very effectively. He has some pretty good speed and quickness to his game and was also getting in lanes to block shots from the point. He needs to watch the turnovers on too many moves, especially when he’s the last man back.

DMF # 61, C, Iacobucci, Isaak- Iacobucci has the size that scouts will drool over and combines it with some nice agility and the offensive instincts to open up and provide options in the slot. He is a pretty good skater and is willing to drive to the net as well. He was putting some good pressure on the puck carrier to force turnovers and was strong on his feet as he is very hard to knock over. He can take passes well through the neutral zone to get the puck in deep on a wide drive and was finding some open space in the offensive zone as well on the power play. He showed some great hands and speed late in the game to beat the defender and get a breakaway but just couldn’t get his shot off.

APR # 7, LW, Hughes, Andrew- Hughes has some decent speed to his game but definitely needs to add some size. He was physical on the fore-check and showed some great battles for the puck in the corners and was going to the dirty areas showing he isn’t easily intimidated as he drove to the net hard with his stick down for some good opportunities in tight. He had a nice net-front presence trying to tip pucks and also showed some nice hands and moves to beat a defender for a great chance on net but missed the net on his opportunity. He displayed some great agility to avoid the opposition’s pressure and some pretty good shiftiness to work the puck under pressure. He hustled hard on the back-check and was putting some good pressure on the puck carrier.

APR # 10, RW, Salemi, Anthony- Salemi has some nice hands and agility and was finding some open space in the offensive zone. He showed some pretty good speed off the rush to get the puck in deep in the offensive zone and then got a pretty decent cycle game going. He was getting on loose pucks quickly and using his body to win battles. He put some good pressure on the defense to force turnovers and got a nice break on net for a good chance. He finished his hits hard on the fore-check and was physical along the boards with some big hits to knock his man over. There were a couple battles that he was out-muscled off the puck and needs to add some size and strength.
