Home Team: Victoriaville Tigres
Away Team: Quebec Remparts
Draft Eligible Prospects Breakdown:
QUE #73 (Adam Erne) F 2013 eligible: He was the best forward on the ice. He showed a very good
explosion for a big guy, which I didn’t see from him this year (not that much). He used his speed a lot to go down the wing and he got good scoring chances. I liked once again how quick he takes his decisions and he rarely makes mistakes. You could say he distributes the puck well when he has to. He gave some good hits but I’d like to see him even more intense along the boards. I thought he could put more shots on net too. Will definitely be considered as a 1st round pick in the 2013 draft.
QUE #7 (Ryan Culkin) D 2012 eligible: Very good skater with fluent strides. He moves the puck well up the ice and he likes to join the rush. He’s what you call an offensive D. He has a good first pass but he gave the puck away two or three times. He relies mostly on his speed to play defence; he could be more aggressive and more active with his body and stick in his own zone.
QUE #8 (Raphael Corriveau) F 2012 eligible: Big winger with decent speed. Limited with the puck and needs to be more explosive to play defence and impose physically. He needs to be more aware defensively and improve his positioning.
VIC #3 (Jonathan Diaby) D 2013 eligible: Not much to say on him tonight. He was the 7th D but didn’t do much to get noticed. He finished with a minus 1.
VIC #4 (Petr Sidlik) D (2012 eligible): He was a reliable D on the blue line for Victoriaville tonight. Made good first passes and was effective in his own zone. Did the little things I wanted him to do, which is a consistent first pass and be a bit more physical.
