Carrier is a typical power-forward who consistently chipped in offensively for Cape Breton this season and will take advantage of his late birthday to improve a lot more for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Carrier is solid in
all areas of the game. He has a good mix of speed and skills with the puck that makes him dangerous when combined with his physical game. He does not have elite talent but he knows how to use his attributes to be effective. He does a good job coming into the offensive zone protecting the puck and going through the defense. He loves to shoot the puck in tight and he has a very effective shot to score goals. While this is something not many people notice, Carrier also has a very strong backhand shot. He also showed very good determination and he can be a physical force on the ice. He likes to go in front of the net and get involved along the boards where he is very hard to play against. The biggest area of improvement for Carrier is his first few steps. We really like the complete package Carrier has, and he proved to be a very smart player on the ice who plays to his strengths.
