RCK #50 F Testa-Basi, Rocco (2018) – Skates well with the puck and consistently makes hard, accurate passes. Good compete level on the powerplay in front of the net. He scored on the rush in the first period with a very hard wristshot that beat the goalie short-side. Overall, he played a good two-way game and showed demonstrated a strong offensive skillset.
RCK #47 F Labelle, Vincent (2018) – Smaller player that has good agility and can move quickly. Demonstrated good offensive instincts and skill. Strong, accurate passing.
RCK #52 F Labelle, Simon (2018) – Good offensive reads and strong playmaking abilities. Flashed a hard wristshot and set the puck up perfectly for his teammates on a few occasions. In the second period, he set a teammate up in front of the net for the goal. He made a perfect tape-to-tape pass at high speed on the rush and demonstrated strong skating ability.
OTT #25 F McDonald, Kyle (2018) – Large frame who demonstrated above average skating and a lethal shot. Scored on a 2-on-1 in the first period. On the goal, he demonstrated good puck handling to stop up in the slot and avoid a pokecheck before taking a very hard wristshot to beat the goalie glove side. Possesses good hockey IQ and made great decisions throughout the game. He moves well for his size but didn’t play a very physical game.
OTT #16 F Mcgurn, Sean (2018) – Smaller player with good offensive skill. He made a beautiful tape-to-tape pass in tight on net and through a defenceman’s legs. Demonstrated great stick-handling and good speed. Strong possession of the puck throughout the game.
